Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bill Wilkinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Al Ain Habbawe!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Habbawe is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wilkinson's half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wilkinson wants to control the action here but instead Habbawe manages to pass to full mount!
Wilkinson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Wilkinson is looking to improve his position but Habbawe isn't that keen on the idea.
Wilkinson manages to regain half guard. Good work.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Habbawe is stalling here. Wilkinson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Habbawe seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Wilkinson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Habbawe can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wilkinson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Habbawe is just riding it out for now. Wilkinson eventually gives up the hold.

Wilkinson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Habbawe doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wilkinson.

Habbawe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Habbawe connects with a nice short shot to Wilkinson's temple.
Still in half guard, Habbawe seems content to control.

Habbawe takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Wilkinson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Habbawe's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Habbawe's back!

Wilkinson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Habbawe has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Al Ain Habbawe will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Wilkinson feints and as Habbawe raises his hands in defense, Wilkinson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wilkinson wants to control from the top but Habbawe keeps moving.
Habbawe wants to stand up but Wilkinson is controlling him.
Habbawe trying to keep a closed guard but Wilkinson is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wilkinson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Habbawe's guard.

Well, if Wilkinson is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Habbawe wants to control but Wilkinson is keeping busy.

Habbawe darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Wilkinson is controlling Habbawe's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Wilkinson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Habbawe's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Wilkinson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Habbawe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Habbawe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Habbawe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wilkinson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Habbawe has managed to get both his arms back between Wilkinson's legs - danger averted.

Wilkinson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Habbawe has his hands clasped together but Wilkinson extends and breaks Habbawe's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Wilkinson.
