The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good exchange - Morris coming out on top. Smith with a lazy takedown attempt letting Morris counter with a right hand. Smith misses with a takedown and Morris counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Scott Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Morris defends it nicely. Nick Morris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Smith. Morris misses with a hook. Smith fails with a takedown attempt. Smith gets the takedown into side control. Morris gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Smith working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Smith content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Smith is rocked! Morris stuffs the takedown. Morris is looking to counter punch. Morris looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Morris tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Morris to the ground. Morris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Smith shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Morris napping and manages to drive through into side control! This has been an exciting period of action! Smith tries to move into full mount but can't pass Morris's legs. Smith passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Morris! Smith wants to control the pace but Morris is squirming around nicely. Smith lands a heavy elbow. Smith misses with a head shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Scott Smith will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Morris keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Morris looks to land a left hand but Smith moved out of range nicely. Smith shoots for a takedown but Morris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Morris is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Morris missing with a left hand there. Smith was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Morris knocks out Smith with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Morris before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Morris picks up the big W with a huge KO!

A very excited looking Nick Morris made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
