The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blackburn is defended easily by Nightblade.
Blackburn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nightblade as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nightblade moves into range and clinches up with Blackburn.
Nightblade is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Blackburn gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Nightblade gets control of Blackburn's arms and successfully pulls guard. Nightblade will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blackburn is working Nightblade over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Blackburn throws a strike but Nightblade rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Blackburn controls Nightblade momentarily but Nightblade frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nightblade thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Nightblade stands and throws Blackburn's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Blackburn tries to improve position but can't.
Nightblade has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Blackburn is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Nightblade yanks on the arm and Blackburn is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Nightblade.
