Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Test Two (ranked 5158 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Malloy (ranked 5237 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Test Two!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Malloy!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malloy throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Two to counter with a crisp jab.
Malloy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Two is looking to counter punch.
Two looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Two moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Two scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Test Two seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malloy shoots for a double leg takedown but Two sprawls well. He's pushed Malloy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Two lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Malloy shoots in for a takedown but Two shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Malloy drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Two cracks the inside of Malloy's front leg.
Two lands with a thumping leg kick.
Two bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Malloy's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Malloy takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Malloy fails with a takedown attempt.
Test Two has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Malloy.
Two thumps Malloy with a low kick.
Malloy takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Malloy has Two up against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Malloy decides to pull guard.
Two looking to pass the guard.
Malloy looking for a sweep. Not yet Malloy, not yet.

Malloy is looking for a triangle but Two pushes his legs off easily.
Two wants to control from the top but Malloy keeps moving.
Two is really struggling to control Malloy but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Malloy tries to strike from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Malloy can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Two trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Malloy lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Two wants to control but Malloy passes easily into half guard.
Malloy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Well, if Malloy is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Malloy thows a huge punch but Two dodges it nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Malloy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Two is looking to improve his position.
Two is working hard here to advance position.

Malloy decides to stand up.
Malloy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Two circles away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Two.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Malloy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Two wants to control the position but Malloy says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Two is trying to get back to full guard.
Malloy throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Malloy trying to control the pace.
Two avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Malloy.
Malloy passes to side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Two looks to move to half guard but instead Malloy has passed into mount! Damn!
Malloy takes Two's back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Test Two will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A jab from Two does it's job there.
Two stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Two wants it to stay on the feet.
Sloppy strikes from Malloy. Those never looked like landing.
Two connects with a jab.
Two keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice uppercut lands for Two. That snapped Malloy's head back.
Two dodges the punch combination from Malloy.
Malloy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Two lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Two lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Malloy shoots in for a takedown but Two shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Test Two has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Malloy.

Two tries to keep at a distance but Malloy has taken the fight into the clinch.

Malloy pulls Two into guard.
Two knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Malloy on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Malloy wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Malloy is looking to stand up but Two isn't so interested in that idea.

Two trying to control but Malloy is working from the bottom.
Malloy managing to control the position.
Let's hope that Malloy has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Two is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Malloy has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Two is looking to defend but Malloy has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Two! Malloy pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Two taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Michael Malloy!
Our winner, Michael Malloy, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
