The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thift showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Marowadoigowiegow.

Thift ducks right into an uppercut from Marowadoigowiegow.
Aslambek Marowadoigowiegow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marowadoigowiegow throws an overhand right that lands on Thift's shoulder, as Thift tries to avoid the shot.
Thift uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Marowadoigowiegow.
Thift drops down looking for a counter takedown but Marowadoigowiegow sprawls and moves away.
Marowadoigowiegow throws the left hand but Thift avoids the punch easily.
Thift changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Thift shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Marowadoigowiegow napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Marowadoigowiegow parries the strikes from Thift easily there. Thift is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Marowadoigowiegow to escape.

Thift wants to lay and pray for a moment but Marowadoigowiegow keeps working.
Thift in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Thift will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Thift creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Marowadoigowiegow sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Thift throws an elbow but Marowadoigowiegow slips to the side and avoids it well.
Marowadoigowiegow avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Thift.

Thift misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Marowadoigowiegow takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Thift throws a strike aimed at the side of Marowadoigowiegow's head but Marowadoigowiegow avoids it well.
Thift has an Americana. Marowadoigowiegow didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Thift is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Thift hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
