PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lowe (ranked 5222 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Douglas (ranked 25111 p4p, 0 weight class). Douglas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Ballad of Curtis Loew kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Douglas shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lowe manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Lowe scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Douglas throws a head kick but Lowe moves out of range.

Doug Douglas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lowe enables Douglas to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lowe manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

My spies in Cozad MMA Las Vegas inform me that Douglas has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Lowe shoots in for a takedown but Douglas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
