PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kreepee Krawlee (ranked 2593 p4p, 121 weight class) and Branimir Simeon (ranked 2517 p4p, 115 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kreepee Krawlee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Branimir Simeon!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simeon misses with a looping left.
Krawlee drops down looking for a counter takedown but Simeon sprawls and moves away.
Krawlee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Simeon tries to avoid it but Krawlee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Simeon to the ground. Simeon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Krawlee fails with the takedown
and Simeon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


It looks like Kreepee Krawlee has been cut.
Simeon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Krawlee moves away.
Krawlee tries to clinch
and Simeon counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Simeon slaps away a takedown attempt from Krawlee, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Simeon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kreepee Krawlee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Simeon misses with a body shot.
Simeon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Krawlee was well out of range. Poor timing from Simeon.
Krawlee drops down looking for a counter takedown but Simeon sprawls and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Simeon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Krawlee at a distance.
Krawlee wants to clinch.
Krawlee misses with a takedown
and Simeon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Simeon cracks Krawlee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Krawlee tries to clinch but Simeon is having none of it.
Simeon lands with a straight right. Krawlee didn't see that one coming.
Simeon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Krawlee at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Krawlee feints and as Simeon raises his hands in defense, Krawlee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Krawlee is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Krawlee wants to control from the top but Simeon keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Krawlee throwing strikes from guard but Simeon blocks nicely.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Simeon can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simeon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Krawlee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Simeon lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Krawlee at a distance.
Simeon looks to score with a jab to the body but Krawlee is just out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Simeon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Simeon tests Krawlee's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Krawlee moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Simeon works Krawlee's body with a nice hook.
Branimir Simeon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Simeon throws a shot to the body.
Simeon lands a body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Krawlee tries to keep at a distance but Simeon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Come on Simeon - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Branimir Simeon dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kreepee Krawlee's cut.
That's time! Krawlee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Simeon drops Krawlee with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Krawlee looks back up at him and smiles so Simeon waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Simeon changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Simeon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Krawlee moves away.
Krawlee drops down looking for a counter takedown but Simeon sprawls and moves away.
Krawlee takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Simeon wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Simeon lands with a cross.


Kreepee Krawlee's cut is getting worse.
Simeon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Krawlee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Krawlee is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Simeon lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Krawlee is looking to close the distance but Simeon sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Krawlee crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Krawlee is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Branimir Simeon!
