Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Prohor Georgiev (ranked 5313 p4p, 359 weight class) and Chief Navajo (ranked 6641 p4p, 397 weight class). Georgiev comes into the arena with Oxxxymiron - City under the sole blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Prohor Georgiev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chief Navajo! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Navajo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Georgiev connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Navajo scrambles back to his feet. Georgiev shoots in but Navajo avoids the takedown attempt easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Navajo goes for a takedown attempt but Georgiev pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Georgiev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Georgiev shoots in and drives through. Navajo sprawls well. Navajo feints the counter takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Prohor Georgiev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Navajo gets caught flat footed, as Georgiev shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Navajo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Georgiev has picked Navajo up and slammed him! Navajo can't keep hold of the triangle and Georgiev manages to pass to side control! Navajo tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Georgiev presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Georgiev has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Navajo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Navajo is still trying to improve position. Navajo is squirming around, avoiding Georgiev's attempts to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Georgiev controlling the position easily from mount. Navajo is desperately trying to improve his position but Georgiev has a good base and remains in mount. Georgiev can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Navajo is looking to escape. Navajo is in all sorts of trouble here.
Georgiev has control of Navajo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Navajo regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Navajo has given up his back here. Will Georgiev look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Georgiev is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Navajo won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Georgiev off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Prohor Georgiev! In his post fight interview, Prohor Georgiev started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
