Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maki Pulu (ranked 789 p4p, 107 weight class) and Miro Bang (ranked 1045 p4p, 141 weight class). Pulu kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Alive. This should be a great matchup!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bang takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pulu pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bang feints the counter takedown.
Pulu rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bang counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Pulu moves into full guard.
Bang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pulu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pulu is trying to control the position but Bang postures up.
Bang thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Pulu seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pulu is looking for a triangle but Bang pushes his legs off easily.
Bang trying to move into half guard but instead Pulu has managed to sweep!
Bang is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pulu is aware though and is defending well.

Pulu advances position into side control!
Bang is not content to let Pulu control the position.
Bang is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pulu's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Pulu is trying to control. Bang wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Pulu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bang has a hand on Pulu's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Pulu takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Pulu is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bang has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Bang is trying desperately to improve position.

Pulu wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Bang is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Pulu sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Bang looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Bang is trying to roll into a better position but Pulu has get a rear naked choke and Bang is forced to tap out! This one is allllll over!
