Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sunray Spike (ranked 150 p4p, 5 weight class) and Buster Napoleon (ranked 235 p4p, 10 weight class). Spike's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, For Heavy Metal we will die!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sunray Spike! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buster Napoleon! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Napoleon moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Spike misses with the body kick enabling Napoleon to counter with a crisp jab. A telegraphed right hand from Napoleon misses the target. Napoleon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Napoleon keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Spike. Napoleon looks like he wants to counter punch here. Napoleon looks to land a combination. Spike sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Sunray Spike has been cut. Spike lands with a kick to the ribs.
Napoleon's jab looks to have found its range, popping Spike under the eye. Napoleon swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Spike. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Spike walks into a left hand. Napoleon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Spike tries to avoid it but Napoleon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Spike to the ground. Spike escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice body punch from Spike. Napoleon keeps the fight on the outside. Spike checks a leg kick. Napoleon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spike uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Napoleon. Spike throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Spike!

and Napoleon counters with a takedown into side control. Spike struggling a bit here. Spike is trying to improve his position. Napoleon trying to control the position but Spike is working away. Spike manages to get back to half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Napoleon connects with a nice short shot to Spike's temple. Spike is looking for a sweep. Napoleon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Napoleon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Napoleon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Spike's coaches at Heavy Metal have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Spike controlling the position for now. Spike is trying to get back to full guard. Napoleon thows a huge punch but Spike dodges it nicely.
Napoleon is thwarting Spike's attempts to control the position. Napoleon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Spike desperately trying to maintain half guard. Napoleon is working for a kimura but Spike is defending it quite comfortably.
Spike is staying active underneath Napoleon, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Spike is looking for a sweep. Napoleon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Spike is looking to control Napoleon's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Spike avoid being mounted? Spike is concentrating on defense, preventing Napoleon from advancing position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Napoleon working over Spike with some ground and pound. Spike looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Spike controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Napoleon is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Spike controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Ground and pound from Napoleon. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Buster Napoleon dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Napoleon looks like he wants to counter punch here. Napoleon shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Spike pinned against the cage. Spike gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Spike takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Napoleon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Napoleon shoots in but no luck this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Napoleon throws an off balance right hand
and Spike counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Napoleon thuds his right hand into Spike's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Napoleon blocks a jab. A good leg kick by Spike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Napoleon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Spike misses with a hook
and Napoleon counters with a nice uppercut. Napoleon misses with a body kick. Spike appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Napoleon takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Buster Napoleon seems to be getting the better of the standup. Spike lands with a straight right. Napoleon didn't see that one coming. Spike throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Napoleon misses with a combination
and Spike connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Napoleon is looking to land body kicks. Spike cracks Napoleon with a good jab. Spike staying out of range there. Buster Napoleon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spike ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A chopping leg kick lands by Spike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Napoleon pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Spike throwing a counter right hand but Napoleon manages to avoid it. Napoleon shoots in looking for a takedown. Spike tries to sprawl out of it but Napoleon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spike manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sunray Spike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buster Napoleon. Spike throws a body shot but no joy. Spike lands a nice looking body shot.

Napoleon feints and then cracks Spike's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Spike down. Spike clinches up against the cage. Napoleon creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Spike's defenses.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Napoleon creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Napoleon misses with an elbow strike.
Napoleon lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Spike blocks a body shot from Napoleon. Napoleon pushes Spike back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Napoleon. Napoleon tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Napoleon. Napoleon struggles to land a body shot inside as Spike controls his hands.

Napoleon swings wildly with an uppercut but Spike uses good head movement to avoid it. Napoleon misses with the head strike.
Spike lands a hook to the side of the head. Napoleon ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Napoleon no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Spike trying to control the position from guard on top but Napoleon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Napoleon is looking to stand up but Spike isn't so interested in that idea. Napoleon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Napoleon isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Spike stacks Napoleon on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Spike! Napoleon tries to improve position but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Buster Napoleon will probably get the nod - 10:9. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Napoleon misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Napoleon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spike moves away. Spike scores with a decent looking hook. Spike lands a glancing blow to the side of Napoleon's head. Spike pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Spike bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Napoleon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Napoleon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A decent looking body kick lands there for Spike. Napoleon lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Napoleon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Spike.

and Spike counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Napoleon looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Napoleon misses with a straight right. Spike uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Napoleon. Spike appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Spike throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Spike throws a lazy right hand but Napoleon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Napoleon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Napoleon takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A jab from Napoleon misses. Sunray Spike has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Napoleon scores with a kick to the midsection. Spike lands a glancing blow to the side of Napoleon's head. Napoleon digs a good body shot into Spike's ribs. Napoleon throws a low kick but Spike avoids it. Spike uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Napoleon.
Napoleon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Spike! Spike stops Napoleon from passing to mount. Buster Napoleon is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Napoleon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Spike is not content to let Napoleon control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spike wants to control but Napoleon postures up. Spike gets back to half guard. Spike is doing well to control the position and prevent Napoleon from advancing to side control. Spike has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Spike is refusing to be controlled, as Napoleon sits in half guard. Napoleon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Spike haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Spike trying to control but Napoleon postures up.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sunray Spike. I think Napoleon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
