Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lance Mills! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Demarco Johannsen! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mills shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johannsen as he avoids it easily. Demarco Johannsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johannsen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We've been hearing good reports from Mills's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Johannsen scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Mills won't allow Johannsen to pass to mount. Mills is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Johannsen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Johannsen's back! Mills is looking for the choke from the back position but Johannsen is controlling his hands well. Mills is looking to control Johannsen but Johannsen is wriggling around and keeping busy. Johannsen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mills. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. A bit of a pause in the action here. Mills controlling the positon. Mills controlling well, preventing Johannsen from escaping the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mills looking for the choke from the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mills avoiding Johannsen 's attempts to control his hands. Mills is persistently looking for the submission but Johannsen is defending it well.

Johannsen is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Mills off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Johannsen is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Mills really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Johannsen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johannsen tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Mills has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Johannsen is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
