Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seve Ballesteros (ranked 1498 p4p, 182 weight class) and Claudio Gadelha (ranked 785 p4p, 91 weight class). Ballesteros comes to the cage accompanied by Chamillionaire f. Scarface & Killer Mike - Reignfall. Gadelha is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Melle Mel - Step Off. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 10 - 3, fighting out of New York, Seve Ballesteros! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Claudio Gadelha! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Columbo Gatti and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gadelha throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gadelha is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ballesteros's half guard. Gadelha looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gadelha looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gadelha is working for a submission of some sort.
Gadelha is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gadelha is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ballesteros sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Gadelha is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gadelha wants to take a breather but Ballesteros is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gadelha wants to pass to mount but Ballesteros is defending the position. Gadelha wants to work for an arm triangle but Ballesteros is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gadelha is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ballesteros is just riding it out for now. Gadelha eventually gives up the hold. Gadelha looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gadelha lands a nice looking body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gadelha. Ballesteros does a little dance to reset his feet. It appears Ballesteros was looking to counter with a kick there. Ballesteros changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gadelha tries to avoid it but Ballesteros manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gadelha to the ground. Gadelha escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gadelha throws a lazy uppercut
and Ballesteros counters with a nice body kick. Gadelha throws out a loose jab but Ballesteros uses good head movement to avoid it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Gadelha misses with a straight left. Claudio Gadelha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ballesteros feints and as Gadelha raises his hands in defense, Ballesteros changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ballesteros is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Gadelha bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ballesteros's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Claudio Gadelha dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gadelha throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ballesteros jabbing away but nothing is landing. Gadelha misses with a wild body shot. Ballesteros takes one to the chin there. Ballesteros takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A slapping body kick lands there for Ballesteros. A swing and a miss from Gadelha. No luck for Ballesteros with that takedown attempt. Donk. Gadelha catches Ballesteros right on the button with a cross. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gadelha misses with a hook. Ballesteros has his takedown stuffed and Gadelha holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Gadelha is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seve Ballesteros. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gadelha misses with some punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good body shot from Gadelha.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gadelha creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Gadelha manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ballesteros is posturing up here but Gadelha has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ballesteros tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ballesteros has to tap! Slick submission there by Gadelha!
