The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shamrock connects with a solid leg kick.
Shamrock with a nice cross.
It looks like Ricky Hughes has been cut.
Shamrock jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hughes tries a head kick but it misses.
Shamrock throws a hook but Hughes blocks it.
Shamrock walks into a straight right hand from Hughes.
Hughes misses with a two punch combination.
Shamrock with a nice cross.
Hughes throws out a loose jab but Shamrock uses good head movement to avoid it.
Shamrock is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hughes.
Hughes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hughes looks to land a left hand but Shamrock moved out of range nicely.
Hughes throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shamrock on the side of the head.
Hughes takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shamrock drops Hughes with a naaaaasty hook - Hughes is in real trouble here! Shamrock dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Tank Shamrock really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Sportivité logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
