Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between BJ Henn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanley Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul has chosen Lick It Up as his entrance music. Stanley Paul has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Henn moves away.

Henn shoots in and bounces Paul off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Henn is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Paul sees it coming and defends easily.
Henn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Henn thows a huge punch but Paul dodges it nicely.
Paul looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Henn tries for a takedown but Paul sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Paul wants to lay and pray for a moment but Henn keeps working.

The crowd cheers as Paul lands an impressive looking overhand right. Henn doesn't seem phased though.

Paul fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Henn looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Paul shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Henn tries to reverse the position but Paul maintains control.
Paul lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Henn is bucking up trying to escape but Paul cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Henn wants to control but Paul is having none of it.

BOOM! Paul connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Henn is squirming around, avoiding Paul's attempts to control the action.

Stanley Paul dominated that round.
That's time! Henn's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Paul throws a nice looking combination but Henn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Paul throws a solid leg kick but Henn takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Paul.

Paul lands with a hook. Henn tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Henn feints and as Paul raises his hands in defense, Henn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Paul can do anything to dispel that myth.

Paul manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Henn drops his hands momentarily and Paul takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Henn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Paul as he jumps to the side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Paul throws a head kick but Henn moves out of range.

Henn has one foot on Paul's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Paul closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Paul has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Paul really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Henn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Paul scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Henn doesn't seem bothered though.

Henn takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Some bone on bone action there as Henn checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Paul throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Henn stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Henn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Henn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Paul fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Paul throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Henn.

Henn on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Paul is going olschool here, as he tries to force Henn to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Henn shrugs it off.
BJ Henn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Stanley Paul comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Paul has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
