Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Hare (ranked 4545 p4p, 493 weight class) and Alexander Gustafson (ranked 2940 p4p, 373 weight class). Peter Hare is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Hare! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander Gustafson! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hare just misses with a punch to the body.
Gustafson throws out a counter right but Hare avoids it with no problem. Nice body kick from Hare. Gustafson has his takedown stuffed and Hare counters with a stiff right hand. Hare avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hare throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gustafson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Gustafson with the counter takedown but Hare avoids it easily. Hare throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gustafson swings for the body but Hare moves out of range.

Gustafson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hare slips under a jab from Gustafson. As Gustafson looks to move away, Hare throws a big counter combo but Gustafson just gets out of the way. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice uppercut lands for Hare. That snapped Gustafson's head back.
Gustafson moves in looking to clinch but Hare pushes him off. Gustafson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Nice cross by Hare.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hare moves out of range as Gustafson strikes. Hare misses with a low kick.
Gustafson tries to close the distance and clinch but Hare swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hare scores with the left hand. Gustafson knows he should have avoided that one. Hare throws a jab when Gustafson was well out of range. Hare has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA LA Elite in the buildup to the fight. Hare slaps away a takedown attempt from Gustafson, before circling back to the center of the mat. A punch combination from Gustafson misses. Gustafson misses with a body shot.

Gustafson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hare. Nice takedown defense from Hare. No joy for Gustafson on that attempt. Peter Hare has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's two minutes gone in the round. Hare stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Gustafson ducks under a wild hook from Hare. Hare throws a leg kick and Gustafson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hare! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. This has been an exciting period of action! Gustafson tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Hare is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Gustafson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hare has escaped the position, nice work there. Gustafson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gustafson wants to control but Hare is keeping him busy. Hare prevents Gustafson from improving position. Gustafson working the ground and pound but Hare is defending the strikes. Hare is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Gustafson tries to advance to mount but Hare denies him. Gustafson wants to control but Hare is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hare stops Gustafson from passing to mount. Gustafson prevents Hare from escaping the position. Gustafson tries for a kimura but Hare is defending well. Gustafson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gustafson wants to control but Hare is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gustafson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Gustafson misses with a hook. Hare ducked under it nicely. Hare tries to land a front kick but Gustafson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Gustafson with the counter takedown but Hare avoids it easily. A head kick misses from Gustafson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice cross by Hare. Hare lands a head shot. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hare lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gustafson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gustafson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Hare slaps away a takedown attempt from Gustafson, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hare feints and then cracks Gustafson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gustafson down. Gustafson dives in for a single leg takedown but Hare sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Hare keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Peter Hare has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Gustafson. Hare throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Hare scores with a hook. Gustafson misses the shot to the body. A little feinted left hand from Hare on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Gustafson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hare finds it's way round the side to connect with Gustafson's head. Hare takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gustafson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gustafson moves away from the strike by Hare. Peter Hare is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gustafson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hare but Hare pushes him off and we're back to square one. Donk. Gustafson catches Hare right on the button with a cross. Gustafson moves out of range as Hare throws a body kick.
Gustafson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hare rather than just go for the knockout. Gustafson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hare pinned against the cage. Hare gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A punch lands to the side of Gustafson 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Hare is not content to let Gustafson control the position. Gustafson is just content to waste time from the top position. Hare takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Gustafson wants to control from the top but Hare keeps moving. Gustafson advances to half guard. Gustafson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Gustafson trying to control the action but Hare is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gustafson closes the distance but Hare moves to the side and Hare connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hare scores with a nice right hand.

Gustafson defending well as Hare loads up on a big left hand. Hare throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hare cracks the inside of Gustafson's front leg. Gustafson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hare as he jumps to the side. Gustafson wants to control but Hare is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hare is pushing Gustafson's head away, looking to escape. Gustafson manages to hold on to the position though. Gustafson trying to control the action but Hare is working from the bottom. Hare is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gustafson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gustafson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Hare is trying to buck Gustafson off. Gustafson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Hare! Hare avoids a series of strikes thrown by Gustafson.
Hare wants to get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Peter Hare showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hare, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
