Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Harris (ranked 24370 p4p, 550 weight class) and Blaise Modric (ranked 24290 p4p, 552 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Blaise Modric! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Modric closes the distance and pushes Harris back into the cage. Modric prevents the takedown attempt.
Modric is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Harris has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Modric is trying to keep an underhook but Harris manages to get the takedown into half guard. Modric looks like he's trying to stand up.
Harris controlling the action here. Harris is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Modric doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Harris. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harris is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Modric is just riding it out for now. Harris eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris controlling the action here. Modric really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Modric wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Harris controlling the action here. Harris's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Harris feints and as Modric raises his hands in defense, Harris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Modric has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Harris has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris gets control of Modric's arms and successfully pulls guard. Harris will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Harris trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Harris is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Modric is aware though and is defending well. Harris has control of Modric's left arm, preventing Modric from doing any damage. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Modric trying to control but Harris is working from the bottom. Harris is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Modric defends well. Harris is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harris trying to keep a closed guard but Modric is proving a slippery customer.

Modric with a flurry of punches that miss. Modric wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Harris will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Harris clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Modric gets in close and instigates a clinch. Modric tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Harris has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Modric is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him. Harris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Modric instigates a clinch. Modric fails to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harris tries to score a body lock takedown but Modric shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Harris pulls guard. Harris is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Modric is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Marcus Harris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Harris avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harris pulls Modric in close to prevent any damage. Modric controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Harris trying to keep a closed guard but Modric is proving a slippery customer.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Harris throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Harris looks for a takedown but Modric sprawls well. Modric tries to clinch but Harris is having none of it. Horrible takedown attempt by Harris or perhaps it was just good defense by Modric, which made it look bad. Modric pushes Harris up against the cage in a clinch.

Harris working some strikes from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Harris working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Modric keeping moving, preventing Harris from controlling successfully. Harris gets to his feet. Modric looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Marcus Harris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Modric fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Modric tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Modric looks to land a combination but Harris avoids it well. Harris fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Modric tries to close the distance and clinch but Harris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Harris tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Modric manages to circle out of the way. Modric wants to clinch. Modric looks to score with a jab to the body but Harris is just out of range. Modric tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harris swats him away and circles back towards the center. Harris half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Harris has his takedown stuffed and Modric counters with a nice uppercut. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Modric forces Harris back against the cage and clinches. Harris tightens his grip and picks Modric up, before dumping him to the ground. Modric manages to land in guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harris won't allow Modric to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blaise Modric showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Modric escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Modric tries to close the distance and clinch but Harris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Modric swinging wildly here.
Harris darts in looking for a takedown but Modric gets double underhooks and turns Harris into the cage. Harris slips a jab from Modric. Blaise Modric seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Harris shoots in but Modric avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him. Modric misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Modric tries to clinch up. Harris throws a big counter combination but Modric scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Harris fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Modric to the ground. Harris is now in Modric's guard. Harris won't allow Modric to get back to his feet. Harris drops back, looking for a kneebar! Modric looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Modric looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Modric!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Harris gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Modric drops an elbow to the side of Harris's head. Harris moves into full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Modric postures up and lands a big shot to Harris's brow. Modric working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Harris throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Harris doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Harris manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Modric gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Harris.
Harris jumps guard and drags Modric to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Modric trying to stand up but can't free himself from Harris's guard. Harris working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Modric doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Modric manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Harris has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Modric can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Harris throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Modric postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Modric postures up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Modric trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Marcus Harris. I think Harris has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
