Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ted Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Asad Farah!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farah is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Farah.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Farah has eaten all the pies!

Cabrera shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Farah wants to get back to full guard.
Farah is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Farah tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cabrera swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Farah shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cabrera pinned against the cage. Cabrera gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ted Cabrera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asad Farah.

Asad Farah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Farah throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Farah avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Farah is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Cabrera's half guard.

Farah wants to work for an arm triangle but Cabrera is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Ted Cabrera will probably get the nod.

Farah shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cabrera as he avoids it easily.

and Cabrera counters with a leg kick.
Horrible takedown attempt by Farah or perhaps it was just good defense by Cabrera, which made it look bad.
Cabrera went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Cabrera throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Farah checks a leg kick.
Cabrera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Farah looks to land a combination. Cabrera sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Ted Cabrera has been cut.

Cabrera gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Farah prevents Cabrera from getting back to his feet.
Farah works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Farah slows the pace down in half guard.
Cabrera is looking to control Farah's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Cabrera avoid being mounted?
Farah wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cabrera keeps working.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Farah is working for a submission of some sort.
Cabrera wants to improve his position but Farah is controlling well.
Farah is just content to waste time from the top position. Cabrera takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Cabrera utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Farah loads up on a big right hand but Cabrera slips the punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Farah looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Farah is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Farah is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cabrera pulls his head out easily.
Farah strikes from the bottom but Cabrera uses the opportunity to move to side control.
You can see the frustration on Farah's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Cabrera is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Cabrera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cabrera, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
