The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurmagomedov fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Burns.

Kurmagomedov is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Burns.

Kurmagomedov bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Burns's head.
Kurmagomedov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Burns.
It looked like Kurmagomedov wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Kurmagomedov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

I was talking to Kurmagomedov's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Kurmagomedov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Burns sprawling to the canvas! Burns rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kurmagomedov finish him?!


Burns is rocked!
Burns rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kurmagomedov counters with a nice low kick that buckles Burns's knee momentarily.
Burns is still on wobbly legs! Can Kurmagomedov finish him?

Kurmagomedov moves in close and cracks Burns with a massive right hand! Burns, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Kurmagomedov!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Zhovhar Kurmagomedov!
Zhovhar Kurmagomedov really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that $10 Trap Queen Aesthetics logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
