Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leo Stokes (ranked 23500 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Oxenford (ranked 5222 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Oxenford will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leo Stokes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tim Oxenford! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oxenford throws a one two combo.
Oxenford clinches up against the cage. Oxenford wants to break the clinch but can't.
Oxenford tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Stokes's elbow. Oxenford turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! What's Stokes going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stokes stops Oxenford from passing to mount. The strikes coming from Oxenford are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Oxenford tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Stokes being controlled for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Who's going to make the next move? You can see the frustration on Stokes's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Oxenford really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stokes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stokes is being controlled here. Stokes is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Oxenford tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Stokes strikes from the bottom but Oxenford takes advantage and advances to full mount! Stokes is wriggling around trying to escape.
Oxenford sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Oxenford misses with a head shot. Oxenford jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Stokes is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Stokes and Oxenford has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stokes struggling a bit here. Oxenford stands up and beckons Stokes to his feet. Oxenford instigates a clinch. Stokes tries to pull guard but Oxenford holds him up against the cage and eventually Stokes drops back down to his feet.
Stokes stalling in the clinch but Oxenford improves position. Stokes tries to pull guard but Oxenford forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Stokes dodges an elbow strike from Oxenford.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oxenford manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Stokes throws a big right hand that misses. Oxenford wants to stand up but Stokes is controlling him. Stokes drops back looking for a leg! Oxenford is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oxenford manages to kick Stokes off! Stokes jumps back into Oxenford's guard. Stokes is looking to work some ground and pound but Oxenford has wrist control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stokes thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Oxenford seems keen to control Stokes's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Oxenford dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Oxenford throws a series of punches but Stokes avoids them all with ease. Oxenford rushes Stokes and presses him up against the cage. Oxenford is trying to maintain a safe position but Stokes gets an underhook and turns Oxenford into the cage. Stokes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Stokes shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Oxenford pinned against the cage. Oxenford gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Oxenford clinches up with Stokes and pushes him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Stokes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Oxenford uses from the top position. Oxenford is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Stokes working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Oxenford. Stokes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stokes is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Stokes has his hands on Oxenford's head, controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Oxenford misses with a hook. Stokes ducked under it nicely. Stokes tries to keep at a distance but Oxenford has taken the fight into the clinch. Stokes tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Stokes tries to pull guard but Oxenford forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leo Stokes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stokes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Oxenford uses from the top position. Oxenford wants to control from the top but Stokes keeps moving. Stokes utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stokes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Oxenford is one step ahead there. Stokes will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oxenford wants to control from the top but Stokes keeps moving. Stokes wants to sweep but no luck. Oxenford looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Oxenford trying to control the position from guard on top but Stokes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Oxenford throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stokes tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Oxenford is in Stokes's guard. Oxenford trying to control but Stokes is working from the bottom. Oxenford stands up from Stokes's guard - Oxenford perhaps looking for a knockout. Stokes blocks a head kick by Oxenford.
It looked like Stokes wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Oxenford motions for Stokes to come forward. Oxenford throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stokes shoots in looking for a takedown but Oxenford manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stokes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Stokes misses with a low kick. Oxenford scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Stokes is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Oxenford showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Stokes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Oxenford has closed the distance and engaged Stokes in a clinch.
It looks like Leo Stokes has been cut. Oxenford tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Stokes fails to pull guard.
Stokes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oxenford walks away with a smile on his face. Stokes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Oxenford gets in close and instigates a clinch. Oxenford gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Stokes regains guard.
Oxenford postures up in Stokes's guard and throws a big left but Stokes blocks it. Oxenford wants to pass the guard but Stokes is keeping the position. Stokes trying to keep a closed guard but Oxenford is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oxenford content to stall in guard here. Oxenford must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oxenford preventing the sweep. Tim Oxenford has got the better of the ground game so far. Stokes is trying to keep Oxenford in close.
Stokes lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Stokes lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Stokes postures up.
Stokes postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Stokes is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Oxenford is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Oxenford has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stokes looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Oxenford wants to pass the guard but Stokes is keeping the position. Oxenford is still trying to improve position. Oxenford stands up from guard. Let's bang! Oxenford drives through with a takedown into guard. Stokes manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Oxenford takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Stokes is working hard here to advance position. Oxenford throws a big elbow that misses. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stokes is on top in guard.
Stokes drops back looking for a leg! Oxenford is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oxenford manages to kick Stokes off! Stokes jumps back into Oxenford's guard. Stokes keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Oxenford's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stokes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stokes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Oxenford working for a triangle but Stokes defends it easily.
Oxenford has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Oxenford utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Tim Oxenford. Well Oxenford has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
