Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bill Naler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikey Barr! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Naler fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Barr closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Barr is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Barr is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Naler can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Naler tries to hold on but Barr pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barr manages to capitalize on a mistake by Naler to take his back! Naler tries to escape but Barr has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Barr looking for the RNC. Naler is really stuck here.
Barr tries to keep control of the position but Naler is staying busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Naler controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Naler is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Naler staying busy and making it hard for Barr to control. Barr might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Naler kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Naler tries to break free.
Barr doesn't have the hooks in and Naler manages to turn into his guard.
Naler wants to pass the guard but Barr is keeping the position. Barr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Naler manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Naler keeping moving, preventing Barr from controlling successfully. Barr wants to pass the guard but Naler is keeping the position. Barr looks gassed! Naler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Barr is controlling him. Barr postures up.
Naler is working an open guard so Barr takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Naler with a poor takedown and Barr counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Naler punching from the bottom.
Naler is trying to get back to full guard. Barr thows a huge punch but Naler dodges it nicely.
Barr seems to be looking for submissions.
Naler is looking for a sweep. Barr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Barr wants to work for an arm triangle but Naler is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Barr thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Naler is trying to maintain the position but Barr is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Naler gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Naler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Naler scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Barr takes a shot right to the bread basket. Naler is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Naler darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Barr moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Barr tries to land a sweep but no joy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Naler trying to control but Barr is working from the bottom. Naler avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikey Barr dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Naler shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Naler was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Naler working away from the top, dropping strikes. Barr tries to lock up and control but Naler gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Naler lands a big shot there that rocks Barr but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Barr wants to control but Naler is having none of it. Naler misses with a head shot. Naler thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Barr is trying to escape the mount.
Barr tries to lock up and control but Naler gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Naler can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Barr is looking to escape. Barr sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Barr trying to control but Naler postures up.
Naler wants to control but Barr is keeping him busy. Naler with the ground and pound but Barr uses the opportunity to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Barr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Naler wants to control from the top but Barr keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Naler drives through with a takedown into guard. Barr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Barr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Barr trying to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Naler trying to control but Barr is working from the bottom. Naler decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Naler shoots in and bounces Barr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Barr not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Naler trying to control the position from guard on top but Barr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barr avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Barr is trying to keep Naler in close.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Naler bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Naler wants to control but Barr is keeping him busy. Barr is looking to reverse the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill Naler dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Barr fails in his attempt to clinch. Barr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Naler but Naler pushes him off and we're back to square one. Naler throws a head kick that Barr semi-blocks.
It looks like Mikey Barr has been cut. Barr displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Naler gets a clinch. Naler is pressed up against the cage. Barr has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Naler down to the mat. Naler avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Bill Naler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Naler throws a nice inside leg kick. Naler changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Naler moves into the clinch. Naler is struggling to control the position. Naler breaks the clinch.
Naler lands a right hook to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Naler misses with a wild combination.
Naler throws a series of punches but Barr avoids them all with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Naler. No joy for Barr on that attempt. Bill Naler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikey Barr. Barr turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Naler fails with an attempt to clinch.
Barr takes a shot right to the bread basket. Naler closes the distance looking to clinch and Barr counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Barr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Barr wants to pass the guard but Naler is keeping the position. Barr thows a big elbow that misses. Naler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barr on the ground. Naler wants to get back to his feet but Barr is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Naler misses with a takedown and Barr counters with a good, hard body kick but Naler shrugs it off. Barr clinches with his opponent.
Naler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mikey Barr has got the better of the ground game so far. Barr lands a nice shot to the head. Naler is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barr goes for an armbar but Naler turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Naler. Naler looking to sit in guard and control but Barr gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Naler wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Barr manages to pass to side control. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Barr in particular looking to stall. Naler wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Barr seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Mikey Barr. I think Barr has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
