Kaan comes to the cage accompanied by Solid Steel. Anubis Kaan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Quinoa Smiff's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anubis Kaan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Quinoa Smiff!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kaan gets caught napping as Smiff dives in and scores a takedown. Kaan manages to retain guard.
Smiff wants to control from the top but Kaan keeps moving.
Smiff content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Smiff is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kaan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smiff on the ground.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kaan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smiff is one step ahead there.
Smiff stands up over Kaan, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Smiff thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Smiff has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kaan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smiff moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Smiff looks to land a combination but Kaan avoids it well.
Smiff lands an overhand right.
Smiff tries to clinch but Kaan is having none of it.
Smiff closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Smiff tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kaan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As Smiff looks to move away, Kaan throws a big counter combo but Smiff just gets out of the way.
Smiff avoids the body shot from Kaan.
Smiff throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Smiff scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Kaan is trying to stand up here but Smiff is controlling him well.
Smiff content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Smiff has hold of Kaan's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kaan seems comfortable defending it but Smiff has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kaan is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kaan is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Smiff couldn't care less - he's delighted!
