Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piet Smit (ranked 1210 p4p, 192 weight class) and Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 2354 p4p, 331 weight class). Smit kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Baby Got Back. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smit rushes Sakuraba and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sakuraba misses with some punches.
Sakuraba jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smit walks away with a smile on his face. Sakuraba gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Smit works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Sakuraba is looking for a triangle but Smit pushes his legs off easily.
Smit has gone for a leg lock! Sakuraba slips out almost immediately though and dives into Smit's guard.

My spies in Temp Spar Gym inform me that Sakuraba has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Sakuraba rolls with it to try and escape but Smit cranks on the arm and Sakuraba is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
