Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Silvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and D Botwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Silvey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, D Botwin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Botwin slips a jab and a cross from Silvey.
Silvey connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Botwin's hands.
Botwin blocks a head kick by Silvey.
Botwin takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like D Botwin has been cut.

Silvey gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Botwin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Silvey keeping moving, preventing Botwin from controlling successfully.

Silvey is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Botwin with a flurry of punches that miss.

Silvey looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Botwin passes into half guard.
Botwin has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Botwin working away from the top, dropping strikes.

Botwin has control of Silvey's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Silvey regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Botwin is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Silvey has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Botwin avoids the attempt from Silvey to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silvey tries to control Botwin's body but Botwin pushes him off. Silvey squirms to his side and now Botwin has his back!

Botwin is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Silvey has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Botwin wants to control the position but Silvey frees himself and scrambles - Botwin manages to regain control in side control.
Botwin looks gassed!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silvey tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silvey prevents Botwin from improving position.
Silvey manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Silvey throws a strike but Botwin avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

D Botwin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on D Botwin's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


A punch combination from Silvey misses.
Botwin throws a left and a right that both miss
and Silvey counters with a one-two to the body.
Silvey bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Botwin throws a nice looking combination but Silvey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silvey throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Botwin's head.
Botwin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silvey.
Silvey lands a head kick. Botwin smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Silvey throws a right and a left that both miss.
Botwin doesn't manage to clinch there - Silvey circles away.
Botwin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Silvey counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Botwin is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Botwin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Silvey can't do much from the bottom here.
Botwin is breathing heavily.
Botwin is looking to take a break and control but Silvey is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silvey is looking to reverse the position.
Botwin working away.
Silvey tries to buck Botwin off but Botwin is having none of it.
Botwin tries to move to full mount but Silvey actually manages to regain half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silvey throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Botwin's head.
Silvey cracks Botwin with a good jab.
Silvey lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Silvey throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Silvey lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silvey lands a two punch combo.
Silvey misses with a jab, cross combination.
David Silvey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A lazy left from Silvey finds it's target.
Botwin misses with a takedown attempt
and Silvey counters with a big head kick but Botwin shrugs it off.
Silvey swinging wilding here.
Botwin misses with a double jab
and Silvey counters with a series of strikes. Botwin will be more careful next time no doubt.
Botwin throws a head kick that misses
and Silvey counters with a nice body kick.
Botwin throws a head kick that misses
and Silvey counters with a nice kick to the body.
D Botwin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Botwin misses with a hook to the body
and Silvey counters with a head kick. That will keep Botwin thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Botwin tries to clinch there but Silvey circles away.

and Silvey makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Botwin really felt that one!
Silvey throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silvey throws a series of punches but Botwin avoids them all with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silvey throws a head kick that Botwin semi-blocks.
Silvey lands a head kick. Botwin smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Silvey counters with a good low kick that Botwin was not able to check.

Silvey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Botwin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Silvey scores with a takedown into Botwin's guard.
Botwin is pulling down on Silvey's head. It's preventing any offense from Silvey, at least for the moment.
Botwin has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Silvey has passed into side control.

Silvey tries for a kimura but Botwin is defending well.
Botwin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silvey's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Silvey is working for a submission of some sort.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silvey throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Botwin moves into full guard.

Botwin has an active guard here but Silvey has managed to pass into half guard.
