Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Kurikka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Alpaca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sammy Alpaca is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alpaca misses with a looping left.
Kurikka avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kurikka clinches up with Alpaca and pushes him back against the cage.
Alpaca looking to stall.
Kurikka wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Alpaca prevents Kurikka from breaking the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kurikka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kurikka is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Alpaca.

Kurikka rushes Alpaca and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kurikka is trying to break the clinch but Alpaca has him pressed against the cage.
Alpaca is pushing Kurikka up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Kurikka throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Alpacas head.
Kurikka blocks a body shot from Alpaca.

Kurikka is trying to break free.
Alpaca tries to pull guard but Kurikka won't allow it.
John Kurikka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sammy Alpaca.
Kurikka is looking to break free of the clinch but Alpaca has double underhooks.
Alpaca has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kurikka avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Alpaca wants to hit a switch here but Kurikka passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Alpaca there!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kurikka clinches.
Kurikka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Alpaca just misses with a punch to the body.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Alpaca tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kurikka smiles and moves away.
Alpaca closes the distance but Kurikka moves to the side
and Kurikka counters by moving into the clinch.
Alpaca jumps guard but Kurikka stands there with Alpaca around his waist. Alpaca gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Kurikka is sitting in close to Alpaca's body. Alpaca has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kurikka is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kurikka is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Alpaca.
