Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Maples (ranked 6060 p4p, 520 weight class) and Nick Tropper (ranked 5659 p4p, 511 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maples shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tropper as he avoids it easily.

Tropper throws out a counter right but Maples avoids it with no problem.

Tropper has taken the fight to the clinch.
Maples is trying to break the clinch but Tropper has him pressed against the cage.

Maples closes the distance and pushes Tropper back into the cage.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Maples wants to take the fight to the mat but Tropper manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maples is pushing Tropper up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Tropper escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tropper misses the shot to the body.
Maples's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Maples duly obliges.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Maples.
Tropper misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A counter left hand to the body from Maples misses its target.

Maples lands with a nice combination. Tropper backs away looking to recover.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Well Tropper has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
