PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keke Mountain (ranked 3604 p4p, 433 weight class) and Harvey Dent (ranked 4782 p4p, 508 weight class). Harvey Dent told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Keke Mountain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harvey Dent!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mountain will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mountain definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mountain dives in for a single leg takedown but Dent sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
Mountain fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keke Mountain. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mountain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dent but Dent pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mountain shoots for a double leg takedown but Dent sprawls well. He's pushed Mountain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Dent gets to his feet - Mountain follows without any prompting.
Mountain shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dent defends it nicely.
Dent throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mountain sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Dent fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Mountain is out of range.
Mountain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dent's waist but Dent gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mountain off to one side.
Dent looks to land a combination but Mountain avoids it well.
Mountain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dent tries to avoid it but Mountain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dent to the ground. Dent escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mountain shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dent as he avoids it easily.
Dent has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dent lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mountain has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mountain and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Harvey Dent is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Mountain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Well Dent has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
