The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lau tries to clinch up.
It seemed like Shabazz was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Lau has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Buoy Training in the buildup to the fight.
Lau throws a lazy right hand but Shabazz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Shabazz's coach down at Temp Spar Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shabazz's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Lau feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Shabazz sprawling to the canvas! Shabazz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Lau finish him?!
Lau is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shabazz can do to turn this around?
