Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Spriggins (ranked 3865 p4p, 390 weight class) and Ragnar Lothbrok (ranked 3171 p4p, 264 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Spriggins has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Spriggins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ragnar Lothbrok! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Chris Dean and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spriggins throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lothbrok counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Spriggins! Spriggins is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lothbrok connects with a decent elbow. Lothbrok postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Lothbrok happy to just control the position for now. Lothbrok is trying to get an arm triangle but Spriggins is defending well. Lothbrok in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The referee asks Lothbrok politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Lothbrok prefers to stall for the moment though. Spriggins defending against the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spriggins on the wrong end of some ground and pound. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Lothbrok has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. It looks like Lothbrok might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Spriggins is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lothbrok has just dragged him back down to the mat. Spriggins being controlled for a moment. Spriggins takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lothbrok has hold of Spriggins's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Spriggins tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lothbrok cranks the arm and Spriggins screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Spriggins, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Ragnar Lothbrok! Ragnar Lothbrok thanked the fans post fight for their support.
