Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Fujiwara (ranked 242 p4p, 31 weight class) and Yoel Mir (ranked 441 p4p, 57 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yoshi Fujiwara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Yoel Mir!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujiwara uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mir.
Mir throws a head kick that misses.
Fujiwara appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Yoel Mir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It looked like Fujiwara wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Mir does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and Fujiwara counters with a single leg into guard. Mir didn't expect that.

Mir has his feet on Fujiwara's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Fujiwara ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mir moves away.

Fujiwara's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mir connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fujiwara scrambles back to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yoshi Fujiwara will probably get the nod.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mir lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fujiwara has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fujiwara and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

I would just about give that final round to Yoel Mir.
