PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Queen Boudica (ranked 3004 p4p, 267 weight class) and Anthon Van Der Dusse (ranked 4615 p4p, 348 weight class). Boudica comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthon Van Der Dusse!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boudica throws a half hearted mid kick.
That kick from Boudica tenderised Van Der Dusse's leg. Van Der Dusse is trying to keep his angry face on.

Van Der Dusse changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Boudica looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Van Der Dusse is working Boudica over with some ground and pound from side control.
Boudica is trying to get back to half guard.
Van Der Dusse lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Van Der Dusse cracks Boudica with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Boudica is trying to control Van Der Dusse's posture but Van Der Dusse avoids it.
Boudica is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Van Der Dusse off and has taken his back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Van Der Dusse turns into Boudica and is now in his guard.
Van Der Dusse told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Boudica wants to sweep but no luck.

Boudica working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Van Der Dusse doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Van Der Dusse manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Boudica escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Van Der Dusse gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van Der Dusse seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
It looks like Van Der Dusse might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Boudica has his foot on Van Der Dusse's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Van Der Dusse works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Van Der Dusse lands a strong strike to the head of Boudica. That's dazed him! Van Der Dusse looking to finish here. Boudica is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Van Der Dusse lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
