Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Lagrange (ranked 2536 p4p, 300 weight class) and OJ Pines (ranked 4469 p4p, 459 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Pines as Lagrange shoots in.
Pines fails with a takedown attempt.
Lagrange shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pines defends it nicely.

Pines moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lagrange shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pines's guard.

Pines has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lagrange takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Pines's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
