Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Edgy Brah (ranked 1836 p4p, 89 weight class) and Quân Lê (ranked 964 p4p, 46 weight class). Brah comes to the ring accompanied by Dropped by Smoke Serpent. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edgy Brah! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Quân Lê! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lê lands with a nice body kick. Lê moves away from the strike by Brah. Brah throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A looping hook to the body misses from Brah. Lê does a little dance to reset his feet. Quân Lê has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lê misses with a kick to the body letting Brah counter with a right hand. Lê bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Brah on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Brah closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brah lands in his opponent's guard. Lê wants to sweep here but Brah controlling him for the moment. Lê keeping full guard, as Brah tries to pass. Lê keeping moving, preventing Brah from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brah looking to pass the guard. Brah trying to control but Lê is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Brah misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Brah tries to shoot in for a takedown. Quân Lê seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lê swings widly with a right hand
letting Brah counter with a right hand. Lê throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Brah half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Lê misses with a looping left. Lê looks to score with a jab to the body but Brah is just out of range. Lê scores with a nice body kick.
Brah misses the jab. Brah shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Lê tries to roll over but Brah keeps him under control. Brah is looking for a kimura but Lê is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brah to get the leverage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edgy Brah dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Brah throws a hook to the side of Lê's head but Lê sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Brah is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lê. Lê moves out of range of the body kick from Brah.
Lê lands with a good body shot. Lê throws a shot from downtown. Brah moves away and avoids it. Lê throws a wild body kick that Brah sees coming a mile off. Brah feinted with a counter takedown. Brah uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lê. Brah misses with a body kick. Lê misses with a hook. Brah ducked under it nicely. Brah has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Brah there as he acknowledges the shot. Lê scores with a jab to the body. Brah buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brah throws a hook but Lê blocks it. Brah looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Brah shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Brah trying to move into half guard but instead Lê has managed to sweep! Lê seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Brah looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lê is one step ahead there. Lê must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brah is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Brah has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lê can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lê got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brah has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lê has managed to get both his arms back between Brah's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Brah has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lê can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Brah bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lê's guard. Brah wants to control from the top but Lê keeps moving. Brah looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Lê keeping full guard, as Brah tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Edgy Brah will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Brah misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Brah misses the shot to the body. Brah throws out a loose jab but Lê uses good head movement to avoid it. Brah shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lê's guard. Brah is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lê can do to turn this around? Brah pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lê is keeping the position for now. Brah is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lê wants to improve his position but instead Brah has moved into half guard.
Edgy Brah overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lê wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lê wants to get back to full guard but Brah has passed into side control. Brah tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brah has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Brah advances nicely into full mount. Brah moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Lê has worked his arm free - good work by Lê!
Brah advances to full mount. Edgy Brah is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brah controlling from the full mount. Lê is squirming around, avoiding Brah's attempts to control the action. Lê really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brah controlling the position easily from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Edgy Brah showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brah, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
