Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between El Torito (ranked 3816 p4p, 52 weight class) and Ronnie McDonald (ranked 4497 p4p, 65 weight class). McDonald has chosen Get Busy Living as his entrance music. Ronnie McDonald is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torito has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Torito there as he acknowledges the shot.
Ronnie McDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McDonald throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Torito accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McDonald is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Torito has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McDonald is working away from the top position though.
Torito is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McDonald is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

McDonald is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
My spies in Death Valley Training Facility inform me that McDonald has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McDonald takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

McDonald is working for a kimura but Torito is defending it quite comfortably.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Torito feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

McDonald gets caught napping as Torito dives in and scores a takedown. McDonald manages to retain guard.

McDonald pushes Torito off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
