Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Lafeyette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Arthur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arthur has chosen Mortal Kombat as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Lafeyette! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chuck Arthur! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lafeyette shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Arthur pinned against the cage. Arthur gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lafeyette fails to land the takedown. Lafeyette shoots in for a double leg but Arthur sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Lafeyette. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lafeyette tries for a takedown but Arthur sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lafeyette rushes Arthur and presses him up against the cage. Lafeyette tries to score a body lock takedown but Arthur shows good agility there to stay on his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Arthur fails to pull guard.
Lafeyette's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Arthur fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lafeyette manages to avoid it. The fight stays on the outside here - Arthur looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lafeyette shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arthur but Arthur pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lafeyette keeps the fight on the outside. Arthur throws a head kick but Lafeyette moves out of range.
Chuck Arthur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arthur misses with a takedown and Lafeyette decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Arthur's guard. Arthur wriggles free and stands up. Arthur with a poor takedown and Lafeyette counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Arthur fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lafeyette breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lafeyette misses with a takedown and Arthur counters with a single leg into guard. Lafeyette didn't expect that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lafeyette is looking for a triangle but Arthur pushes his legs off easily.
Lafeyette is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Lafeyette is breathing heavily. Lafeyette has his foot on Arthur's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Arthur works his way back into a safe position though. Lafeyette keeping moving, preventing Arthur from controlling successfully. Lafeyette looking to control.
Lafeyette had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Arthur is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lafeyette Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Arthur's back instead. Arthur manages to reverse the position and now he's in Lafeyette's guard. Nice work there by Arthur.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lafeyette striking off his back but it's not causing Arthur any problems. Lafeyette looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Lafeyette trying to keep a closed guard but Arthur is proving a slippery customer.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Lafeyette closes the distance and clinches. Lafeyette tries for a takedown but Arthur manages to get underhooks.
Arthur pressing his opponent against the cage. Lafeyette tightens his grip and picks Arthur up, before dumping him to the ground. Arthur manages to land in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lafeyette trying to control but Arthur is working from the bottom. Arthur has his hands on Lafeyette's head, controlling the position. Lafeyette avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lafeyette lands a couple of digs. Lafeyette trying to control but Arthur is working from the bottom. Lafeyette stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arthur swivels though and keeps the full guard. Arthur preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Pierre Lafeyette will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Arthur scores a takedown into full mount! Lafeyette tries to lock up and control but Arthur gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Arthur is standing up, even though he is in mount. Arthur tries to bum rush Lafeyette with a series of wild strikes but Lafeyette uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lafeyette shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Arthur wants to control but Lafeyette is having none of it. Lafeyette looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Arthur has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Lafeyette's lack of action.
Lafeyette lands with a punch from half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lafeyette trying to control the action but Arthur is working from the bottom. Pierre Lafeyette overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Lafeyette wants to pass to mount but Arthur is defending the position. Lafeyette scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Arthur manages to get to full guard.
Lafeyette thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lafeyette has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lafeyette drops back looking for a leg! Arthur is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arthur manages to kick Lafeyette off! Lafeyette jumps back into Arthur's guard. Lafeyette drops back, looking for a kneebar! Arthur looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Arthur looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Arthur!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Arthur landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Arthur blocks the strikes from Lafeyette.
Lafeyette takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Lafeyette sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Lafeyette is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Arthur scores with a couple of nice shots. Lafeyette looking for submissions off his back. Lafeyette missing with punches from the bottom.
Arthur decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Lafeyette clinches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lafeyette is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Lafeyette pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Arthur has closed the distance and engaged Lafeyette in a clinch.
Lafeyette has Arthur pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lafeyette pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Arthur tumbling to the mat - Lafeyette dives into Arthur's guard. Lafeyette trying to control but Arthur is working from the bottom. Arthur wants to stand up but Lafeyette is controlling him. Lafeyette drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lafeyette jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lafeyette thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Arthur is on top in guard.

Arthur is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Arthur trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lafeyette escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Arthur gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Lafeyette working for a triangle but Arthur defends it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Pierre Lafeyette will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Lafeyette gets a takedown into half guard. Arthur is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lafeyette's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lafeyette's back! Arthur is looking for the choke from the back position but Lafeyette is controlling his hands well. Lafeyette manages to reverse the position and now he's in Arthur's guard. Nice work there by Lafeyette.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lafeyette drops back looking for a leg! Arthur is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arthur manages to kick Lafeyette off! Lafeyette jumps back into Arthur's guard. Lafeyette trying to control the position from guard on top but Arthur is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lafeyette looking to pass the guard. Lafeyette lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Arthur controls Lafeyette momentarily but Lafeyette frees himself. Lafeyette cracks Arthur with a solid left hand.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lafeyette fails with the takedown and Arthur counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Arthur wants to control from the top but Lafeyette keeps moving. Lafeyette has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Arthur should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Lafeyette has tightened it up now! Arthur should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
