Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Corey Mcgraugh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace ! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mcgraugh on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Mcgraugh swings for the body but Wallace moves out of range.
Wallace walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Wallace shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Mcgraugh keeps the fight on the outside. Mcgraugh misses with a looping right. Wallace is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Mcgraugh misses with a body shot.
Wallace throws a poor cross that misses
and Mcgraugh moves into the clinch. Mcgraugh lands with a short shot to the head. A short uppercut from Mcgraugh. Mcgraugh struggles to land a body shot inside as Wallace controls his hands.
Wallace should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. A nice left hand lands by Mcgraugh.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mcgraugh lands with a right to the head. Mcgraugh lands a hook that snaps the head of Wallace backwards. Mcgraugh is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Mcgraugh lands a left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace misses with the head strike.
Mcgraugh misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Wallace stalling against the ropes.
Mcgraugh is working Wallace over against the ropes. A body shot lands from Mcgraugh.
Mcgraugh lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Wallace backwards. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mcgraugh. Wallace looks winded! Mcgraugh lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Mcgraugh lands with a short shot to the head. A shot in the inside from Mcgraugh. Mcgraugh pushes Wallace back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Mcgraugh. Wallace wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mcgraugh has him pressed against the ropes. Wallace takes a shot to the head. Mcgraugh lands a hook to the side of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A left hand lands to the body for Mcgraugh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcgraugh working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Wallace is rocked! Mcgraugh lands a shot to the body. Mcgraugh breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Wallace with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Wallace looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Wallace get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? Yes, he's struggled back up to his feet and seems OK to continue. The referee agrees so we're back to the action! Wallace is still on wobbly legs! Can Mcgraugh finish him? Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Mcgraugh moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Wallace ! Mcgraugh continues to tee off on Wallace , landing with a left and a right! Mcgraugh connects with a right hand that leaves Wallace sleeping against the ropes! What a finish by Mcgraugh!
