Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ronaldo Mayasi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Crack Addict! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Addict has Mayasi up against the cage in a clinch.
Addict has had enough of the clinch but Mayasi keeps him there for the moment. Mayasi manages to break the clinch.
Mayasi is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Addict.
It looks like Ronaldo Mayasi has been cut. Addict throws a combination that misses and Mayasi counters with a nice double leg into guard. Mayasi is looking to work some ground and pound but Addict has wrist control. Mayasi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Addict's guard. Addict tries to kick Mayasi off but Mayasi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Mayasi lands strikes from half guard. Mayasi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Addict's head. Mayasi working over Addict with some ground and pound. Addict looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mayasi controlling the action here. Mayasi is nestled in close to Addict, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayasi not doing much here.
Mayasi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Mayasi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Mayasi maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Addict could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Mayasi has cracked it and Addict is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Mayasi!
