Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Melvin Fodanhef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mel Anglestad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fodanhef buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Anglestad looks gassed! Fodanhef keeps Anglestad at a distance using the push kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Fodanhef tries to close the distance and clinch but Anglestad swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Anglestad takes a nasty kick to the mid section... Fodanhef tries to clinch but Anglestad moves away so Anglestad counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Anglestad postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Fodanhef is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Anglestad is controlling him. Anglestad trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Anglestad controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anglestad connects with a couple of short punches. Fodanhef keeping moving, preventing Anglestad from controlling successfully. Anglestad scoring with punches to the head and body. Fodanhef wants to get back to his feet but Anglestad is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Anglestad with a flurry of punches that miss. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Anglestad with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Anglestad takes a kick to the side of the head. A head kick misses from Fodanhef. Anglestad decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anglestad lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Anglestad not doing much here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anglestad tries to pass to full mount but Fodanhef defends it. Anglestad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Anglestad is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fodanhef doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Anglestad. Anglestad wants to control but Fodanhef is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Anglestad stops Fodanhef from getting back to his feet.

Anglestad trying to control the action but Fodanhef is working from the bottom. Anglestad seems to be working for a kimura but Fodanhef defends the submission attempt. Mel Anglestad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mel Anglestad's cut. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Anglestad slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Anglestad stops Fodanhef from standing up. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fodanhef throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Fodanhef keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Mel Anglestad comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Anglestad has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
