The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pardo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pardo throws a lazy uppercut
and Delisle counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Pardo is trying to escape back to his feet but Delisle uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Delisle has hold of Pardo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Pardo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Delisle cranks the arm and Pardo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Pardo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Gauthier Delisle!
After winning the bout, Gauthier Delisle thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
