Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonas Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calmin Ex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ex shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ex fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ex misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ex misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt
and Ex counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Silva is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ex counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.
Silva is not content to let Ex control the position.
Silva throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position.
Silva misses with a strike from the bottom.
The strikes coming from Ex are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Ex lands a decent elbow from side control.
Ex wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.

Silva is looking to reverse the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Ex easily slips into full mount!
Silva wants to hold on but Ex pushes him away.
Ex controlling the position easily from mount.

Silva regains half guard.
Ex uses his free foot to push down on Silva's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Silva.
Silva holds on, trying desperately to control.

Silva keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ex sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Silva slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Silva wants to sweep but Ex has passed to side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is not content to let Ex control the position.
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ex on the ground.
Ex creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Silva sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Ex tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Ex trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom.
Silva is looking for a sweep.
Ex has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Silva!
Ex can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape.
Silva tries to reverse the position but Ex maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva is working hard here to advance position.
Ex wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.
Silva bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Ex avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ex striking off his back but it's not causing Silva any problems.
Silva wants to control from the top but Ex keeps moving.
Ex is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Silva is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Calmin Ex dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Ex is looking to clinch.
Ex fails with the takedown
and Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Silva controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Silva throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ex looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ex not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ex bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ex drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Ex off! Ex jumps back into Silva's guard.
Silva seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Silva wants to stand but Ex is controlling the position.
Ex controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Silva pulls Ex in close to prevent any damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Ex prevents Silva from getting back to his feet.
Ex throwing strikes but missing.
Ex is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Ex has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ex is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Silva is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Calmin Ex!
