Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Humberto Dasilva (ranked 2090 p4p, 237 weight class) and Shannon White (ranked 2264 p4p, 253 weight class). Dasilva comes to the cage accompanied by Ladies and Gentlemen. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White slips under a jab from Dasilva.
White leaves Dasilva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dasilva tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dasilva somewhat.
White takes a jab right on the kisser.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that White has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Dasilva shoots in looking for a takedown. White tries to sprawl out of it but Dasilva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. White manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Humberto Dasilva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dasilva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from White.
White tries to score with a low kick but Dasilva moves his leg out of the way.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White tries to clinch up.
Dasilva has a takedown stuffed.
Dasilva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
White manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

White is trying to pull guard but Dasilva turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
White goes for a takedown attempt but Dasilva pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
White stuffs the takedown.
White changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
The fighters circling - Dasilva throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
White bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
White drives through with a takedown into Dasilva's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

White drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dasilva looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dasilva looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dasilva!

White is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
White tries to escape but Dasilva is in control.
White is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Dasilva's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dasilva tries to stand but can't do so whilst White controls his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

White moves into full guard.
Dasilva is looking to stand up but White won't let him.
White looking for subs off his back but Dasilva has passed one foot through into half guard.

White is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dasilva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dasilva's back!

Dasilva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dasilva is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
White is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Dasilva knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Dasilva for a finish.
White seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Dasilva's chin but Dasilva turns very nicely into White's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Dasilva.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dasilva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dasilva. White does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dasilva drops his hands momentarily and White takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Dasilva shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says White as he avoids it easily.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Dasilva enables White to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dasilva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
White looking to sit in guard and control but Dasilva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
White working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dasilva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but White is tightening it up a little... Dasilva has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dasilva reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dasilva taps out! Nice BJJ there by White!
