Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Ferito (ranked 4877 p4p, 506 weight class) and Eliz Gracie (ranked 4088 p4p, 453 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Ferito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eliz Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ferito was covering up waiting for the punch and Gracie finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ferito is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gracie defends well.

Gracie is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Gracie drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gracie jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ferito has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Ferito is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gracie looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ferito escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ferito had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Gracie defends it easily.
Ferito wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.

Gracie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Gracie is pushing down on Ferito's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ferito is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ferito is trying to get back to full guard.

Gracie is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ferito is just riding it out for now. Gracie eventually gives up the hold.
