Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bill Goldberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sven Wolchiski!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wolchiski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wolchiski wants to control but Goldberg is keeping him busy.

Wolchiski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Goldberg is looking to reverse the position.

Wolchiski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Goldberg is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Goldberg tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Goldberg might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wolchiski tries to advance to mount but Goldberg denies him.
Goldberg is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Goldberg's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Goldberg fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Goldberg tries to keep at a distance but Wolchiski has taken the fight into the clinch.

Wolchiski has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Goldberg avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Goldberg seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Goldberg is taking a breather. Wolchiski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Wolchiski tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Goldberg decides to stand and escape the position.

Goldberg moves into range and clinches up with Wolchiski.

Goldberg jumps guard and drags Wolchiski to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Wolchiski stands up from Goldberg's guard - Wolchiski perhaps looking for a knockout.

Nice takedown defense from Wolchiski. No joy for Goldberg on that attempt.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wolchiski shoots in for a double leg but Goldberg sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

A close round but Sven Wolchiski will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Wolchiski rushes Goldberg and presses him up against the cage.

Goldberg has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Wolchiski uses from the top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wolchiski throws a strike but Goldberg rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wolchiski is working an open guard so Goldberg takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Goldberg counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wolchiski!

Bill Goldberg dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Wolchiski throws out a leg kick but Goldberg moves out of range and Wolchiski only half commits.
A nice combination there by Wolchiski.

Goldberg tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wolchiski smiles and moves away.
Goldberg shoots in and drives through. Wolchiski sprawls well.
Goldberg shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wolchiski pinned against the cage. Wolchiski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bill Goldberg. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wolchiski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Goldberg tries to land a body kick

and Wolchiski counters by clinching up.
Wolchiski goes for a takedown in the clinch but Goldberg prevents it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Goldberg looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wolchiski tries to clinch there but Goldberg circles away.

and Goldberg counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wolchiski won't be happy with that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wolchiski might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Goldberg kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Wolchiski is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Goldberg is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Bill Goldberg overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Goldberg won't let Wolchiski get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
