The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ball throws a lazy uppercut
letting Blake counter with a right hand.
Blake jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Blake lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ball misses with a jab to the body
and Blake counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ball misses with a hook
and Blake counters with a nice leg kick.
Blake throws a body kick that misses
and Ball counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Blake is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Ball thuds a left hand into Blake's body.
Ball wants to clinch up but Blake keeps it at a distance.
Blake wants to land a leg kick but Ball is out of range.
Ball tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Blake throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ball counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Edward Blake has been cut.
Blake takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Blake is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ball connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Blake! He's out on his feet! Ball rushes in and drops Blake with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Lavar Ball!
Lavar Ball decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
