Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Babinski (ranked 5234 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmund Maloney (ranked 4051 p4p, 0 weight class). Maloney has chosen The Sacred War by Alexandrov Red Army Choir as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Edmund Maloney is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexei Babinski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Edmund Maloney! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Babinski ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Babinski feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Maloneys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Maloney throws a right hand that misses
and Maloney takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Babinski looks to land a combination. Maloney sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. The fight moves into the clinch position. Babinski misses with the head strike.
Babinski tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Babinski is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Maloney escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Maloney loads up on a big right hand but Babinski slips the punch. A left lands for Maloney. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Babinski uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maloney. Maloney forces Babinski back against the cage and clinches. Babinski can't find room to land a body shot as Maloney controls the action.
Maloney breaks the clinch.
Maloney swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Babinski counters with a lovely straight right hand! Maloney is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Maloney looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Babinski might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Maloney stands up from Babinski's guard - Maloney perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maloney throws a looping overhand right but Babinski ducks down to avoid it. Maloney misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Babinski lands with a kick to the temple. Maloney shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Maloney swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A punch lands to the side of Maloney 's head but he takes it in his stride. Maloney lands a jab to the head.
Babinski lands a big head kick that sends Maloney tumbling to the mat! Babinski takes a step backwards and waves Maloney back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Maloney is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Maloney leaves his chin hanging out and Babinski seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Maloney crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alexei Babinski! Edmund Maloney was interviewed post fight and said 'My opponent is a cheater!'.
