Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seve Ballesteros (ranked 1788 p4p, 215 weight class) and Gregory McVaughn (ranked 2289 p4p, 257 weight class). Ballesteros comes to the cage accompanied by Chamillionaire f. Scarface & Killer Mike - Reignfall. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McVaughn avoids the head kick by Ballesteros.
Ballesteros looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Ballesteros shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McVaughn pinned against the cage. McVaughn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

McVaughn instigates a clinch.

Ballesteros's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
McVaughn is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
McVaughn throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ballesteross head.

McVaughn is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been informed that McVaughn has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

McVaughn is pressed up against the cage. Ballesteros has hold of a leg and is looking to drag McVaughn down to the mat. McVaughn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

He's got control of the head and as Ballesteros tries to break McVaughn's hands from around his neck, McVaughn unloads with that fight ending knee, right up the middle! Oh man, that was nasty! Ballesteros will need to get back to the training room and learn how to defend against the thai clinch! Oooh, his nose is a mess. Hopefully it's not broken.
