Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arlie Ashley (ranked 24277 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Cabbage (ranked 5179 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Nick Cabbage enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arlie Ashley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nick Cabbage! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabbage has closed the distance and engaged Ashley in a clinch.
Ashley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cabbage rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Ashley holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cabbage tries to pull guard but Ashley won't allow it.
Ashley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nice uppercut lands for Ashley. That snapped Cabbage's head back.
Ashley slips under a jab. Ashley fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Cabbage misses with a double jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cabbage throws a right hand that misses
and Ashley counters by moving into the clinch. Ashley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ashley will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Cabbage up against the cage. Cabbage fails to pull guard.
Ashley works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ashley sitting in guard here, content to control. Ashley wanted to stand there but Cabbage had control of the position. Ashley trying to control but Cabbage is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cabbage lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Cabbage wants to control from the top but Ashley keeps moving. Cabbage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ashley swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ashley wants to get back to his feet but Cabbage is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ashley keeping moving, preventing Cabbage from controlling successfully. Ashley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabbage clinches. Ashley manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Cabbage jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ashley walks away with a smile on his face. Cabbage gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Arlie Ashley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Cabbage. Ashley gets a clinch. Cabbage is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ashley to keep the fight standing. Ashley is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Ashley successfully pulls guard.
Cabbage trying to control the position from guard on top but Ashley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ashley is looking to stand up but Cabbage isn't so interested in that idea. Cabbage wants to control from the top but Ashley keeps moving. Cabbage drops back looking for a leg! Ashley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ashley manages to kick Cabbage off! Cabbage jumps back into Ashley's guard. Cabbage tries to free his leg and advance position but Ashley is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arlie Ashley dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Cabbage closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Ashley is stalling here.

Arlie Ashley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Cabbage. Cabbage tries to pull guard but Ashley holds him up against the cage and eventually Cabbage drops back down to his feet.
Ashley has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Cabbage uses from the top position. Ashley throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. A slow jab from Cabbage misses its intended target. Cabbage throws a series of punches but Ashley avoids them all with ease. Cabbage tests Ashley's chin there with a solid looking shot. Ashley tries to keep at a distance but Cabbage has taken the fight into the clinch. Ashley breaks from the clinch.
Ashley clinches up with Cabbage and pushes him back against the cage. Ashley breaks from the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cabbage missing with a left hand there. Ashley was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Cabbage blocks the body kick.
Ashley slips a straight right by Cabbage. Ashley closes the distance and clinches. Ashley gets control of Cabbage's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ashley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Ashley pulls Cabbage in to control the position. Cabbage trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Ashley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Cabbage trying to control but Ashley is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cabbage is pushing down on Ashley's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ashley is fighting to maintain full guard but Cabbage has managed to sneak the leg through. Cabbage passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ashley! Cabbage looking for a guillotine from mount but Ashley is having none of it. Ashley is squirming around, avoiding Cabbage's attempts to control the action. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Cabbage swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
