Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phineas Aboonabbi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diablo Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aboonabbi shoots in for a double leg but Rage sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rage avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Rage forces Aboonabbi back against the cage and clinches.

Rage pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Rage has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Aboonabbi off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Rage counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rage works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Rage shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aboonabbi's guard.

Aboonabbi wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rage is now in half guard.
