Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bronko Strunz (ranked 1271 p4p, 156 weight class) and Cole Orion (ranked 1886 p4p, 222 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
31 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bronko Strunz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

31 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cole Orion!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orion takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Strunz jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Strunz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Orion connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Strunz scrambles back to his feet.
Cole Orion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice uppercut lands for Orion. That snapped Strunz's head back.
Orion looks to land a combination but Strunz avoids it well.
Strunz misses with a straight left.
Nice jab there from Strunz.
Strunz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Orion takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Orion takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Orion throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Strunz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Orion throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Strunz with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Orion to score with a decent uppercut.

Orion missing with a left hand there. Strunz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Orion swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Strunz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Strunz scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Orion doesn't seem bothered though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Orion feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Strunz sprawling to the canvas! Strunz rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Orion finish him?!
Strunz is rocked!

Oh Strunz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Orion misses with a series of wild punches.
Orion pounces like a tiger and cracks Strunz with a vicious hook! Strunz is down but not out! Orion follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Cole Orion!
Our winner, Cole Orion, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
