Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Jones (ranked 24965 p4p, 565 weight class) and Otis Meeks (ranked 6584 p4p, 540 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Otis Meeks! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Meeks, pushing him back against the cage. Jones tries to land a knee to the head but Meeks blocks with his arms.
Meeks decides to pull guard. Meeks has Jones pulled in close to control his posture. Jones throws a big elbow that misses. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Meeks swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Meeks pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Meeks has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jones has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Jones drops back looking for a leg! Meeks is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Meeks manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Meeks's guard.

Meeks slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jones looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Meeks! You can see the frustration on Meeks's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Meeks stops Jones from passing to mount. Meeks gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Jones tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Jones wants to pass to mount but Meeks is defending the position. The fighters are battling for position here. Meeks manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The referee asks Meeks politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Meeks prefers to stall for the moment though. Jones might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jones sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Jones is looking for a sweep. Meeks is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Meeks sitting and controlling from the half guard. Jones tries to roll over but Meeks keeps him under control. Meeks passes to side control.

That's eight minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Good control from Meeks. Meeks keeps control of the position as Jones tries to break free.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Meeks. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Otis Meeks dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Jones gets tackled into the cage by Meeks. Meeks maintains the clinch. Meeks tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Meeks with a lazy takedown attempt and Jones counters with a big head kick but Meeks shrugs it off. Daniel Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Otis Meeks. Jones works Meeks's body with a nice hook. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones throws a head kick that misses and Meeks counters with a two punch combo. Meeks fails with the takedown and Jones counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Meeks is lucky that one didn't land flush.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Jones. I have no idea who won that fight.
