With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Harvey Smithson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khadartsev changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smithson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Khadartsev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A little jabbing left from Smithson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Khadartsev steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smithson.

Harvey Smithson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Khadartsev closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Smithson did well to prevent Khadartsev getting side control.
